Dear Parents, 

Welcome to the website of the Canadian Section of the International School on SHAPE.  We are a school which provides children aged 6 to 13 with a high quality education in a caring, international community.

The Canadian Section is located in Casteau, Belgium on the NATO base of the Supreme Headquarter Allied Powers, Europe (SHAPE). 

Our school is a multicultural and multilingual environment with English and French as the languages of instruction.  Every student is encouraged to think and solve problems by applying learned skills to a variety of situations.  Academic subjects such as Literacy, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science are complimented by classes in Physical Education and the Arts.  Computers and Library are also incorporated into the curriculum.  Our approach to education highlights a commitment to activities both during and outside the school day.  Our goal is to connect students to our local community as well as with other schools and nations on the SHAPE campus.

Our dedicated and experience staff teach the Ontario Curriculum in both of Canada's national languages.  We enjoy a low student to teacher ratio, which allows us to help each student reach his or her individual potential.
