Dear Parents, 

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.  My name is France Meunier and I am the new Principal of the Canadian Section of the SHAPE International School.  On behalf of the staff at the Canadian Section, I would like to say 'Welcome Back' to parents of students who are returning and to extend a warm welcome to the families of students who are new at SHAPE and to our school.  Everyone has been busy preparing for the start of an exciting new year and we look forward to working in partnership with you in providing a quality educational program for your children. Returning this year are Chris Pettypiece, Denis Boudreau, Monique Neary, Monica Genée and Janelle Matice, as well as our Office Administrator, Line Gagnon.  This year, our new teachers are Diane Farrell and Clémence Brière-Thibeault.  I would also like to mention the arrival of our new Librarian, Jennifer Pettypiece.  She will also provide the students and staff with technological support as well as acting as our webmaster.   

All parent of students enrolled at our school are invited to attend School Committee meetings.  We sincerely hope that all parents will feel part of our school community and become involved by volunteering and attending school activities. You will soon receive a survey (which is in no way a commitment) where you may indicate your interest in contributing some time and expertise in a variety of areas.

Communication between home and school is important to us.  In order to best serve this intention, my Office Administrator will be sending an information bulletin every Monday.  This email will inform you of what is coming up for the week ahead and also providing you with heads up for upcoming events.  As we are constantly trying to improve our communication, I invite you to share with me any concern you may have regarding this topic.  Please do not hesitate to contact the school if you have a concern or require clarification on any matter.
